Mark Larsen Randall, 68, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer.
An avid fisherman who found great joy on the lake in pursuit of the next big Muskie, Mark was a devoted Nebraska Cornhuskers fan until the very end. He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne Randall; and daughters, Michelle (Brian) Ament and Renee (Jeff Adamek)
Randall; along with grandchildren, William, Margaret, Samuel and Estelle; brother, Robert (Laurie) Randall and Diane (Roger Catlin) Randall; and several nieces and nephews.
Mark was born on Sept. 14, 1953, in Sioux City, Iowa, to the late Robert Randall and Ruth (Larsen) Randall Benson. A 1971 graduate of Benson High School in Omaha and 1983 graduate of the University of
Nebraska at Omaha, he entered the United States Air Force on Sept. 14, 1971. While stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, Mark married Yvonne (McWilliams) on April 8, 1972. Just this year, they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Mark began his career with Allstate Insurance Company in 1979, moving to the United Fire Casualty Co. in 1981, where he worked for 38 years in Omaha, Minneapolis and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he retired in 2019 as a Regional Claims Manager.
A memorial service and luncheon will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, at Grace Lutheran Church, 7800 150th St., West Apple Valley, Minn. Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. with a private interment to follow Monday at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery honoring Mark as an Air Force Veteran. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of Mark.
