Mark Allen McNabb, 62, of Cedar Rapids, Passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2024.
Per Mark’s request, there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life is being planned for this summer at Ellis Park.
Survivors include his significant other, Meloni Franck, as Mark would always say, “My better half for 36 years’; children, Jason (Amanda) Middlekauf; mother, Jacqueline McNabb; was a father figure to Scott Spinler, Michael Franck and Melissa Morgan; grandchildren, Javen Middlekauf, Jameson Franck, Ryleigh Franck, and Payton Schmidt; brother, Jeffery Edward (Judy) McNabb from Tracy, CA; sister, Diane Lynn McNabb of Cedar Rapids; Aunt, Jackie Carney of Cedar Rapids; many nieces and nephews; In-laws. Lyle and Beverly Spinler of Marion; and many great friends.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Edward McNabb Jr., grandparents, Sherman and Gail McNabb and Lewis and Ethel Hynek.
Mark Allen McNabb was born July 24, 1961, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Edward and Jacqueline (Hynek) McNabb. He graduated from Kennedy High School and was a caring and giving man who gave his heart to anyone he met and worked with concrete for over 30 years. He loved visiting with friends and was a multiple point mud run champion along with his late friend, Larry Rossman. In his free time, he watched NHRA, NFL, classic cars, especially Camero’s, and watched the Iowa Hawkeyes with his very special dog/friend Raven.
Memorials may be given in his name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Critter Crusaders of Cedar Rapids or Dogs Forever.
