Marjorie Victoria Costas, 88, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Sunday, December 24, 2023. Marge was a resident at Methwick community.
Marjorie was born April 24, 1935, in Eureka Township, Michigan, the daughter of Victor and Alma (Marvin) Coville. She graduated from high school and went on to attend Michigan State University. Marjorie was united in marriage to Michael John Costas on August 24, 1957.
Marjorie was highly active in numerous clubs and sports at Nashville High School. Her passions were reading, playing bridge, estate sales, refinishing antiques, Younkers, STAR TREK, and her grand kids. What she loved most were the annual summer trips to her parents’ cabin in Michigan with the kids where she enjoyed hanging out at the lake, collecting Petoskey stones, and the nightly game of Michigan rummy.
Survivors include her children, John M. (Rachelle) Costas of Scottsdale, Arizona, Timothy B. (Robin) Costas of Lothian, Maryland, Elizabeth A. (Thomas) Eicher of Annapolis, Maryland, and Michael A. (Becky) Costas of Frederick, Maryland; nine grandchildren, Michael, Daniel, and Adrienne Costas, Ace, Alex, and Chloe Fattouche, and Andrew, Alan, and Tyler Costas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Alama Coville; her brother Ron Coville, and husband, Michael John Costas in 2013.
Per Marge’s wishes, make a donation to a charity of your choice in her remembrance. There will be a private family service to be held at a later date.
