Margaret “Marge” A. Dailey

Margaret “Marge” A. Dailey, 87, of Murphysboro, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Jacksonville Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born February 22, 1934, the daughter of Lawrence A. and Kathryn M. (Estel) Weber. She married Billy “Bill” Dailey on December 26, 1955 and he preceded her in death February 28, 1997.

She is also preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Steve (Lisa K.) Dailey of Palmetto, FL and Curt (Amee Kesky) Dailey of Springfield; three granddaughters, Shea Pyron, Skylar Dailey and Stevie Dailey; and one great-grandson, Ryker Pyron.

Marge belonged to First Presbyterian Church in Murphysboro. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and White Shrine. She provided for her family as a homemaker.

Marge was a skilled Bridge player, enjoyed all sorts of card games and never refused a small glass of wine. She became an excellent cook thanks to the tutelage of her husband, Bill. At Christmas time she would always gift cinnamon rolls and coffee cakes to friends and neighbors.

Memorial Gathering: 1 – 2 pm, Friday, September 10, 2021 at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro.

Private burial will take place at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park in Murphysboro.

Memorial contributions may be made to a hospice organization of the donor’s choice.
