Malinda Emeline Worthy
- May 13, 2021
Malinda Emeline Worthy (85) was reunited with her loving husband (Lamar) to walk hand in hand again in heaven on the morning on Wednesday May 12, 2021. She was born in Henderson County to the late John and Brittie Gibson. She was predeceased by her beloved husband David Lamar Worthy.
Malinda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a loving, caring heart that always put the lord and her family first in her life. She took joy in loving, care giving and cooking for her family and anyone else that she met that needed her help. Malinda never met an individual that she did not touch in some way, whether it be from the love of her cooking, the nights she spent sitting up with a sick family member or friend or just her sweet loving personality. It was always said by family and friends that she had one of the toughest spirts of any woman that they ever met because she never let anything keep her down, sickness, injury or stroke; she always came back. She had a love and special bond with animals that could not be described with words that enabled her to save many lives that would otherwise have been lost.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons; Roger Worthy, wife Jamie; Robbie Worthy, wife Kerry; and daughter; Rosie Baldwin, husband Merle; five grandchildren, two grandchildren spouses and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday May 14, 2021 at the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Pryor and Rev. Ansel Pace officiating; an open visitation will be held at 1:00 pm with a graveside service to follow the funeral service.
