Lyle Edward Jensen, 95, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, April 1, 2024 at Mercy Medical Center. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Craig Brown. Burial: Maple Grove Cemetery, Audubon. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home.

Lyle is survived by his children Paul (Rose Ann) Jensen of The Villages, FL, Keith Jensen, and Michelle (Dan) Jungjohann of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Eric Jensen of Grimes, and Dustin (Ann) Miller,

Kendra (Dion) Jungjohann, and Amber (Josh) Davidson, all of Cedar Rapids; nine great-grandchildren, Ethan, Reign, Zayla, Ahmondae, Brooklyn, Grayson, Legend, Legacy and Oliver; sister-in-law, Evelyn Dammann of Overland Park, KS; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores in 2021; parents, Axel and Edith Jensen; infant sister, Darlene; infant daughter, Carol Jean Jensen; daughter-in-law, Lisa Jensen; brother-in-law, Herbert Dammann; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Judy Dammann and Edna and Rein Rudnick.

Lyle was born on December 28, 1928 in Bayard, the son of Axel and Edith Rudolph Jensen. He graduated in 1948 from Audubon High School. Lyle married Delores Dammann on August 15, 1948 in Audubon. Lyle worked as the office manager at Lumberland for 31 years, retiring in 1992. Lyle was a long-time member of First Lutheran Church and member of Crescent Masonic Lodge #25.

Lyle was an avid square dancer and enjoyed woodworking, his rose garden, traveling and wintering in Arizona. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Lyle’s family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Specialty Care for their loving and compassionate care.

Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church.
