Luceal May Nickell

Luceal May Nickell passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Tuscany Gardens in Pataskala, Ohio, at the age of 88.
She was born November 7, 1932, in Huron, Ohio, to the late John and Florence (Long) Floro. Luceal graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1951. She retired from Therm-O-Disc after 26 years of service and also worked at Meijer for 6 years. Luceal married the love of her life, Marion Nickell, in 1951 and loved being with her family. Her sunny disposition shone brightly to others. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and shopping for clothes.
Luceal is survived by three children, Cindy (Bill) Hollingsworth of Richmond, IN, Lynn (Les) Bucknor of Pataskala and Mark (Denny Morris) Nickell of Erie, PA; seven grandchildren, Timothy (Theresa) Keener, Benjamin Keener, Michelle Endicott, Gennafer (Lance) Koenig, Stephanie (Miguel) Nickell, Burt (Rachel) Nickell and Steven (Amanda) Jones; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a sister, Katherine Streib of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Marion Augustus Nickell on May 11, 2017; son, Steve Nickell; daughter, Debra Nickell; granddaughter, Beth Keener; and three brothers, John, Eugene and Leonard Floro.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on September 24, 2021, in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A graveside service will be held in Mansfield Memorial Park at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bella Care Hospice, 110 Polaris Pkwy Suite 302, Westerville, OH 43082.
