Lola E. Mayda

Lola E. Mayda beloved wife, mother and Busia drew her last breath on August 2, 2022, at the age of 97. She was born December 10, 1924, in Brooklyn, New York, to Anthony and Sophia Wagner.
Her family lived in Brooklyn till she was 12 years old. Then got on a Greyhound bus and met up with her father in Southern California. After the war she married George Mayda 12/14/47 in Pasadena, California. She worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in the freight dept. She had her first child Christine in 1949. Left work to raise children. Her second child was George Alan in 1951. Her third child was Richard in 1966. In between the spread of children, she worked as a School Secretary. George retired from Macy’s, they sold most of their properties, and moved to Incline Village, in Lake Tahoe. In retirement she worked as a Real Estate Agent. George passed away in 1997. Lola lived in Reno for a couple years and then married an old family friend, Curly. They married in HI, Dec 11, 2001. Curly got ill in 2020 and went to live with his family. Lola then moved in with George and Diane in Poulsbo, Washington. George retired in 2020 and moved the family to Granbury, TX. Lola loved being in Texas, seeing new places and living at Waterview.
She is survived by her brother Richard (Sylvia) Wagner, Sons George (Diane) Mayda, Richard (Uwe) Mayda, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and numerous chosen family and friends.
