Lois J. Stivers, 83, of Springville, died Monday, February 12, 2024, at her home with her family at her side.

Lois Jean Scherbaum was born October 16, 1940, on a farm near Garrison, IA, the daughter of Harold and Alice (Meeks) Scherbaum. She attended school in Garrison and when the family moved to Cedar Rapids in 1950, she attended Cleveland Elementary, Roosevelt Middle, and Jefferson High School. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1959. She married Charles Stivers on October 22, 1966, in Cedar Rapids. She was employed at Rockwell Collins and retired in January of 1999, after 36 years of service.

A member of I.B.E.W. Local 1362 and the Auxiliary Post 298 of Marion, Lois enjoyed going to dances, camping, and Elvis Presley. She loved to travel to Las Vegas, NV to visit her son Mike. She cherished spending time with her family, especially her three granddaughters.

She is remembered by her sons Michael (Diana), Las Vegas, NV, and James (Heather), Springville, granddaughters Ashton, Shelby, and Hanna, all of Springville, a step-grandson Tony, UT, a step-granddaughter Cristina, a step-great-granddaughter Charlie, both of TX, a sister Betty Curtis, Las Vegas, as well as by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a twin brother Lewis.
