Lois E. Clauson

Lois E. Clauson, age 95 of Aurora, IL passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Bickford of Aurora.  She was born on July 20, 1928 in Aurora, IL the daughter of Otto and Ethel (Thompson) Christian.

Lois was united in marriage on August 28, 1948 to Mr. Orven M. Clauson and they spent the next 67 happy years together until his passing on March 10, 2016.  She was a lifelong and dedicated member of Helmar Lutheran Church in Newark, IL.  Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Lois is survived by her children, Gary (Margie) Clauson of Newark, IL, Linda Clauson of Maryville, TN, and Roger (Marcie) Clauson of Aurora, IL; her grandchildren, Ben (Mary) Spidle, Jenny Clauson, Michelle Clauson, Jacob Spidle, Craig (Amy) Sewell, Alicia (Corey) Gillespie, and Nicole (Daniel) Lawrence; her great-grandchildren, Michael, Jason, Albert, Henry, Abigail, Claire, George, Canaan, and Payton; her brother, Rodney (D.J.) Christian of Fort Collins, CO; her sister, Kathy Prickett of Yorkville, IL; and her sister-in-law, Wendy Christian of Arizona;  as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Ethel Christian; her husband, Orven Clauson; her brother, Richard Christian; and her brother-in-law, Robert Prickett.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Helmar Lutheran Church, 11935 Lisbon Road, Newark, IL, with Pastor Steven Lombardo officiating. Interment will follow in Helmar Lutheran Cemetery in Newark, IL.

Friends may visit from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Helmar Lutheran Church in Newark, IL.
