Linda Shirley Gimmestad

Linda Shirley Gimmestad, age 72, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, departed to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Pardee Health Care in Hendersonville.  A native of Cashiers, North Carolina, she was born on November 20, 1949 and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Nevada Rice McCall

A loving and caring wife, mother, sister and friend, Linda, following 20 years of service, retired as an Administrative Assistant with the United States Government.  Linda had a favorite saying, “she never knew a stranger”, which she herself, had never known a stranger.  She enjoyed watching game shows, and was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church in Hendersonville.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Bradley L. Gimmestad; one son, Jason A. Gimmestad; four siblings, Marie Holden, Eldon McCall (Gladys), Melba McCall and Arlon McCall (Debbie); and several nieces and nephews.  Linda is also survived by, last but not least, her canine companion, Barnee.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
