Linda Carol Pelham, 76, passed away on Sunday; March 7, 2021 in Burleson.
She was born to Juell and Alma Holt Stakes on January 6, 1945 in Fort Worth where she lived most of her life. Linda was a member of the Church of Christ. She was a career Waitress and was employed for over fifteen years at the Mexican Inn Restaurant in Fort Worth. She liked playing bingo and the lottery. Linda loved her son and grandson dearly and was a very giving person.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Alma Faye Barron and her step-father, Cecil Barron; father, Jewel Stakes; husband, Royce “Pete” Kress Pelham, Sr.; her infant daughter, Amy Lynn Desaunier; sisters, Wanda Adams and Debbie Barron; brothers, Tommy Stakes and Charles Stakes.
Linda is survived by her son, Cory Pelham and wife Jessie of Burleson; step-son, Royce Kress Pelham, Jr. and wife Angie of Granbury; grandson, Hayden Allen-Kress Pelham of Burleson and a granddaughter, Lana Danielle Pelham, of Granbury; sisters, Cathy Elam Wilson and husband Jeff, of North Richland Hills, Lisa Geyer and husband Bryan, Mary Hickey, and Diane Kimberlin; brother, Robert Stakes, all of Houston as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6PM. to 8PM. Thursday; March 11, 2021 at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM. Friday; March 12, 2021 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Glen Rose with graveside service and burial to follow at Lanham Mill Cemetery in Glen Rose under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home.
