Les was born in Muscatine, Iowa, on Nov. 28, 1973, the son of Lester A. Proctor Sr., and Ellen C. (Clements) Proctor. He was the Maintenance Supervisor for SSAB, a job that he truly enjoyed.

Les was an outdoorsman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed setting out bank lines and fishing for catfish and recently had become a fan of walleye fishing thanks to his brothers-in-law. If you couldn’t find Les at home, you could always find him at his dad’s. He loved spending time with his family and friends and we can’t forget his four-legged best friend, Jack.

He is survived by his wife, Vickie; his father Lester Sr.; five daughters, MacKenzi (Austin) Thiering of Muscatine, Hannah Proctor of Wilton, TyLyn Cole of Bluegrass, Hailey Kearney of Bluegrass, and Taylor (Derick) Dennis of Browning, Mo.; a sister, Kari (Shaun) Donahue of Clarence, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Mason, Makari, Kayne, Bowen, Haven, Raylynn, Taya and Calvin; his dog, Jack; and two special nephews, Austin Ray and Connor Proctor; as well as other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ellen Proctor; a son, Matthew Proctor, his brother, Billy Proctor; and his best friend, Mikey Hennings.
