Leslie Allen Townsell

Leslie Allen Townsell, 58, of Chatham, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at his home.  He was born December 13, 1962 in Madisonville, KY, to Leslie James and Barbara Clark Townsell.  He married Nancy L. Niccolls on May 27, 1989 and she preceded him in death on December 12, 2014.

Survivors include one sister, Karen Townsell of Chatham; two brothers, Randy Townsell of Chatham and Frank (Kelly) Marcy of Pawnee; one brother-in-law, Tom Niccolls of Springfield; two sisters-in-law, Donna (Ron) Hotarek and Susan (John) Pile, both of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and son, Jared Townsell.

Allen attended Southeast High School and was a graduate of Wyoming Tech in 1983. He was a resident of Chatham for over 25 years.  He was a career dockworker, working at Superior and XPO Logistics for many years.

Visitation: 12:00 – 1:00 pm, Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm, Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Mike Harney officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
