On Monday, November 1, 2021, Lee Roy Culbertson, loving husband, and father of two children, passed away at age 82.
Lee Roy was born on November 14, 1938, in Comanche County, TX to Virgil and Viola Culbertson. He met the love of his life Nelda Fern Moore in Colorado City and then married her on March 9, 1956. They raised two sons Terry and Kerry. He worked for Dowell/Schlumberger in Colorado City Texas as a field engineer and in sales. He retired from Dowell/Schlumberger and later worked as a contract wellsite consultant for Cambrian Management.
Lee Roy had a passion for traveling and camping. He also loved his family very much and loved being with his seven great grandkids. He was known for his amazing memory and attention to detail. He loved to help anyone especially his kids. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Granbury Texas.
Lee Roy was preceded in death by his father, Virgil, and his mother, Viola. He is survived by his wife Fern, two children, Terry Culbertson and wife Vikki of Granbury Texas, Kerry Culbertson, and wife Kim of Andrews Texas, two sisters Mae Pearl Mull of El Paso Texas and Ima Gene Caraway of Spring Texas, brother Berry D Culbertson of Houston Texas, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 5th, 2021, at First Baptist Church, 1851 Hwy 51 N Granbury Texas. Viewing will be at 1:00 pm with the Funeral starting at 2:00 pm. Graveside will be at Holly Hill Memorial Park following the funeral service. Flowers or donations may be sent to First Baptist Church, Granbury Texas.
