AULANDER, NC – Lee Robert Morris, age 62, of Millennium Township, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at his home with his loving wife and son by his side.
Lee was born on August 29, 1960 to Rapheus Robert “Bob” Morris and Joan Elizabeth Fisher Morris in Peterborough England which is where his father was stationed at the time. He loved his family dearly and cherished the time he got to spend with them. He and his wife Claire were married nearly 43 years. Lee was a talented craftsman, woodworker, specializing in custom cabinet making. He had been building custom cabinets for forty years, and they will be enjoyed for many years to come. Lee had many hobbies that he loved during his spare time; fishing, metal detecting, target shooting, motorcycles, cars, and spending time outdoors. Lee was loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by father, Rapheus Robert “Bob” Morris.
Lee is survived by his beloved wife, Claire, three sons, Jared Lee Morris and wife Kristy of Buckeye, Arizona, Michael Robert Morris and wife Liliana of Lewisville, NC, and Robert Parker Morris of Aulander; six grandchildren, Cody, Kayla, Sophia, Alyssa, Hayden, and Royce Morris; two sisters, Michelle Walker of Lewisville, NC, and Renee Walters and husband Keith of West Jefferson, NC; and two brothers, Philip Morris and wife Janie of Liberty, NC, and Derek Morris and wife Jamie of Brunswick, GA.
The family will plan a celebration of Lee’s life at a later date.
