Lee D. Shepherd

Lee Shepherd, aka Ole Skool, aka Catfish, was born on January 31, 1955, to the late Lillie Lee Shepherd and James Shepherd (both parents preceded him in death). He was the second-oldest of four boys: John Shepherd, Eric Shepherd (deceased), and James Shepherd. Lee attended Empire Junior High School Enrichment and then East Technical High School. Lee joined the Army in April of 1974 until April of 1975.

Lee has seven children: Nyree Thomas-James (Glen James), Jahi Johnson (Quiana), Kabira Germany, LaDon Brown, Johnny Lamar, Marie Lomax (Justin), and Raynard Hammock. Lee has 19 grandchildren: Javon, Justice, Taiya, Braelyn, Lanell, Ameer, King, Queen, Prince, JSaun, Cameron, Kali, Johnny, Jr., Jordin, Robin, Erin, Rayne, Ryan, and Rayonna; five great-grands: Javon, II, Jaliyah, Jaxston, Knowledge, and Denim.

On July 11, 1996, Lee was joined in Holy Matrimony to Nadine Germany. During this time, they traveled out of the country, went on several cruises, and often traveled to California and Indiana to visit their grandchildren. In 2005, Lee began a career with VA Hospital, starting in Brecksville, where he held several positions. His favorite position was Voluntary Services where he met a very special friend, Adam Cook. Lee had a love like no other for helping Veterans. Lee had a great passion for helping others in general. Whomever needed him, HE WAS THERE.

Lee was known by his family and friends for shooting pool, shooting dice, playing cards, and his love for dominoes. We cannot stress enough the love that Lee had for helping others.

He leaves to mourn a wife of 27 years, two brothers, seven children, 19 grandchildren, two cousins/brother/sister, five great-grands, two sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and many, many other relatives and friends.
