Kevin Allen Shipley, 39, of Buncombe County, North Carolina, unexpectedly passed away December 28, 2021, at Mission Hospital.
Kevin was born to Thomas Shipley and Sharon Martin (Davis) in West Palm Beach, Florida; he was predeceased by his wife Hannah Shipley.
After graduating from high school, Kevin made his living as an electrician. He was of the Baptist faith. In Kevin’s free time he enjoyed fishing, playing basketball, baseball, football, golf, and poker.
Left to cherish Kevin’s memory are his parents, Thomas Shipley of Florida; Sharon Martin and stepfather Bruce Martin of Mills River, NC; sisters Sherry Lucas of West Palm Beach, Florida; Hope Allison, Stephanie Shipley, and Katie Shipley all of North Carolina; Tonya Paicely of Indiana; brothers Jonathan Lucas and John Paul Shipley both of West Palm Beach, Florida; Andrew Shipley of North Carolina; and Donny Lucas also of Indiana. Aunts Diane, Pat, Peggy, Cindy, and Judy with Uncles Toby, Charlies, Ricky, Mickey, Eddie, and Brian will miss Kevin dearly. Kevin leaves behind nieces Angel, Emmy, Jayden, Kelsea, Maya, Liyani, Shelby and Naomi and nephews Tracy, Brandon, and William. In addition, sister-in-law Loramay, and brothers-in-law Lee and Tracy Coleman, Sr; and many cousins.
Kevin will forever and always remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, January 7th, 2022, at the Kirby Memorial Chapel of Shuler Funeral Home in Hendersonville, North Carolina; a visitation open to the public will be held one hour prior. A graveside service at Oakdale Cemetery will follow.
