Kenneth Vance Young

Kenneth Vance Young, 76, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.

A lifelong resident of Hendersonville, he was the son of the late KV and Janette Willis Young.  He was also preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, June Hardin Young; and his brother, Keith Young.

He served in the United States Air Force and was employed for many years with Kimberly Clark before retiring in 1999.  He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Nicole Young Gary, husband William; and his two grandchildren whom he adored, Maddison and Ethan Gary; his two sisters, Madelyn Owenby (Wayne) and Maxine Quattlebaum (Bob); and several nephews.

A graveside service will be held at the Hardin Family Cemetery at a later time.
