Kelly Jo Lawless

Kelly Jo Lawless, 61, of Gulfport, MS died at 1:28 am, Thursday, May 6, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Glen Carbon. She was born April 15, 1960 in Springfield to George and Shirley Register Wilson. She married Merl Lawless on August 28, 1982 and he survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Amy (Alex) Womack of Glen Carbon; mother, Shirley (Ken) Driver of Springfield; step-mother, Darla (Jim) Bahr of Springfield; one granddaughter, Rileigh Womack, and grandson, Baby Lee on the way; one sister, Krystie Wilson of Riverton; three step brothers, Kenny Weller, Kelly (Erin) Weller and Michael Reeves all of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Kelly lived in Gulfport, MS for the past year and prior to that was a resident of Springfield. She worked as an Interventional Radiology Technician at Memorial Medical Center for thirty-nine years.
Kelly loved gardening and camping. She was an avid runner, completing the Chicago Marathon and another in St. Charles, MO. Most of all she loved her family and spending time on the beach near her home in Gulfport.

A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, Thursday, May 20, 2021 at West Side Christian Church with Mike Harney officiating. A visitation will follow from 4 pm until 7 pm.
