Keith William Schar was born April 18, 1952 in Elmhurst, Illinois to Wallace Alton and Fern Virginia (Fugelsteen) Schar. He passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at his home in Linn Township after a courageous battle of cancer
Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, an avid moviegoer, giant collector of bobbleheads (1200 at the last count), best friend to his Labs, and loving Grandpa to his grandkids. He enjoyed taking fishing trips to Florida, the unlimited minibars in Mexico, and scuba diving in the Bahamas. He led a successful career in pharmacy and home healthcare before his retirement.
Keith is survived by his wife Beth; sons Jeffrey (Jennifer) Schar and Steven (Amanda) Schar; grandchildren Jack, Tyler, Tate, Peyton, Madeline, and Eloise; brother James (Janet) Schar; sister-in-law Joyce (Carl) Hughes; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Lee Schar.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at Toynton’s Walworth Funeral Home, 328, Kenosha St., Walworth, WI from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
