Keith Boone Hartley, 51, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Sept. 21, 2022, from complications of Leukemia.
A memorial service celebrating Keith’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion, with Deacon Jeff Voelker officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom.
Survivors include his wife, Kris; sons, Kole, Karson and little pup Kinnick; mother, Mary K. Hartley of Parrish, Fla.; brother, Stan (Linda) Hartley of Bradenton, Fla.; mother-in-law, Marlene Prout of Anamosa, Iowa; sister-in-law, Karen (Darin) Zahn of Colfax, IIowaA; brother-in-law, Joe (Julie) Price of Ankeny, Iowa; brothers-in-law, Matt Price, Lance (Shelly) Noard, Troy (Kerri) Noard, Charles (Tina) Prout and Ed (Dianna) Prout. Loved by his nieces and nephews, Tressa (Chase) Sutphin, Cheyenne Hartley, Cody Holub and Brandon (Shawnda) Pomranky, Johnathan and Jillian Price, and Jessica Zahn.
Keith was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm “Frank” Hartley, brother, David Hartley, and his fathers-in-law, Jack Price and Del Prout.
Keith Boone Hartley was born Nov. 23, 1970, in Goldsboro, N.C., the son of Frank and Mary K (Stanley) Hartley. He graduated from Linn-Mar High School in 1990. He graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Business and Finance. Keith worked in real estate/mortgage lending throughout his career. He found his home at Veridian Credit Union and enjoyed his work family.
Keith and Kris were married May 19, 2001, and made their home with their boys in Marion. Keith was happiest with family, friends, and his boys, who were his everything. His interests have always been boating, beaches, Iowa Hawkeyes and Florida, his happy place. Special times were spent with his “Dipper friends” who meant so much to him.
A special thank you to his doctors and care team on 3JCP at the University of Iowa Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Keith’s name.
