Kay Caroway Radetski

On April 22, 2022 Kay Radetski passed away at the age of 71 and would have been 72 on April 27^th. She was born in Tennessee but grew up in Michigan for the most part. After High School, she moved to Fletcher, NC to attend nurses training at what was then Mountain Sanitorium. Here, she met Weston Barber, who attended Fletcher academy. Kay got her RN and soon married Wes Barber. Together they adopted a child they named Kelly Suzanne Barber and were awesome parents who always gave unconditional love. After some time, they divorced, and Kay married Joseph Radetski who loved her and treated her like the princess he believed she was. She was a psychiatric nurse at Appalachian Hall for over 20 years and then worked at Pardee Home Health for the remainder of her career before a stroke paralyzed her 10 years ago. Kay was preceded by her parents Harold and Arda Keller; 2 sisters and a brother.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband, Joseph Radetski; daughter, Kelly Parris; step-sons, Joseph Radetski, Jr. and Jason Radetski, Sr.

There will be a small celebration of her life for family and friends held from 2-3pm in the chapel of Shuler Funeral Home on Friday, April 29, 2022.

We pray that she may now Rest in Peace until we meet again one day.
