Kathy S Britt, age 66 of Weslaco, TX, formerly of Bristol, IL passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 in Weslaco, TX. She was born September 5, 1954 in Cairo, IL the daughter of Ralph and Doris (Parker) Britt.
Ms. Britt was formerly employed at St. Mary’s Catholic School, Plano IL, and Weslaco Independent School District for over 35 years. She was a member of both the Trinity Church United Methodist in Yorkville, IL and First United Methodist Church in Weslaco, TX. Kathy was a loving sister, aunt, niece and cousin who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her brothers, Flint Britt and William Britt; sister-in-law, Shelly Britt; her nieces and nephews, Becki (Scott) Knighton, Misse Sampson, Lesley Britt, Ryan (Libby) Britt, Jon (Beth) Britt, Spencer (Melissa) Britt and Brandee Britt; her aunts and uncles, Margaret Stillwell, Betty Britt, Diana (Phillip) Simpson; as well as several great nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Doris Britt; grandparents, Leslie and Helen Parker and Charles and Lyda Britt; brother, John G. Britt; niece, Kaitlin Britt, nephews; Evan Sampson and Jody Britt; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Greg) Edenhauser and Lori Britt.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Nelson Larson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL, with Reverend Diana Simpson, officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Bristol, IL.
Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until the Hour of Service on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. In lieu of flower, memorials to the family to defer medical costs.
