Kathryn Ann Poczatek, age 66, of Chicago. Beloved daughter of Felicia, nee Bieszczad and the late Joseph J. Poczatek. Adored sister of Jeffrey (Renee) Poczatek and Susan (Brian) Foley. Loving aunt of Liam, Patrick, Cullen, Aidan, and Maeve. Dear companion of her four-legged friend Boris. Loving cousin and friend of many. Kathy grew up on the northwest side of Chicago, was valedictorian of her class from Regina Dominican High School. Kathy graduated number two in her class from Southern Illinois University going on to earn an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Business. She then became an Assistant Director to the Board at General Motors. Kathy was determined and successful in every role she undertook. She was a voracious reader with a photographic memory and had a never ending curiosity. She will be missed by all. Visitation Thursday, December 9th, 3PM to 8PM, Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N Cicero Ave, Chicago. A prayer service will take place at 7PM led by Fr Greg Sakowicz.
