Kathleen Andersen, 77, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Pinicon Senior Living in Anamosa. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa, with a visitation one hour prior to the service. A private inurnment will take place following the service at the Springville Cemetery in Springville, Iowa.

Kathleen was born on November 4, 1946, the daughter of Kenneth and Bernita (Wild) Andersen. She grew up in rural Springville. Upon graduation from Springville High School, class of 1964, she moved and worked in Marion, Cedar Rapids, and Iowa City. Kathleen will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Kathleen is survived by brothers, Lyle (Marilyn) Andersen of Springville and Rex Andersen of Marion; sister, Lavonne Yanda of Anamosa; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, John H. Yanda.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the staff at Pinicon Senior Living for the care Kathleen received during her stay there.
