Joseph “Vito” Towne

Joseph “Vito” Towne, 83, of Sherman, went to be with the Lord at 1:45 pm, Saturday, January 1, 2022 at St. John’s Hospital. He was born September 28, 1938 in Pawnee the son of Howard and Venjensia (Bommarito) Towne.

Surviving is his sister, Terri (Edward) Morris of Springfield and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers and three sisters.

Vito was a hair stylist for 40 years. He was a member of the Faith Outreach Christian Center for 24 years.

Visitation: 9 – 11 am, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Faith Outreach Christian Center, 6800 Bahr Road, Sherman, IL, with services immediately following with Pastor Paul Ayappa officiating. Interment will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery Chapel Mausoleum, Springfield, IL.
