Joseph A. “Joe” White was born on November 2, 1945, in Springfield, and gained his angel wings on February 21, 2022, in Louisville, KY, after a long fight with Parkinson’s Disease.
Joe is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jean White; daughters, Serina (James) Gerber, of Dawson, and Amy (Bob) Carroll of Louisville, KY; son, Eric Adams of Louisville, KY; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, JoAnne Lester of Springfield; brother, Jim (Nancy) White of Springfield; niece, Michelle Coffin of Springfield; as well as several nieces and nephews,
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph C. and Josephine White; brother, George White; nephew, Michael Scott; and grandmother, Antonia Repovz.
Joe was an avid fisherman, enjoyed working on cars and collecting antiques. He was a great man of few words. His greatest joy in life was being a husband, father and grandfather. Joe will be truly missed and will forever live in our hearts.
Memorial Gathering: 1 – 2 pm, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.
Memorial Service: 2 pm, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Pastor Josh Parsons officiating. Burial will follow at Old Salem Cemetery.
