Jorretta Ann Thompson

Jorretta Ann Thompson, 71, of Lincoln, IL died at 8:32 pm, Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center. She was born February 22, 1950 in Litchfield, Il to Daniel and Bessie (Myers) Gurley.

She is survived by four children, Everett (Lisa) Lingleo of Riverton, Annette (Jeffrey) Fulgenzi of Sherman, Candice (Scott) Long of Springfield and Christina (Nate) Robinson of Auburn; eight grandchildren, Macy and Madison Lingleo, Annie, Ellie and Devin Fulgenzi and Emily, Kyle and Claire Long; two sisters, Janet (Ken) Easterday and Berneice Gurley; one brother, John (Connie) Gurley; several nieces, nephews and cousins and canine companions, Sugar Bear and Franny.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Robert, Frank and Lewis Gurley and one sister, Elizabeth Allen.

Jorretta worked as a Registered Nurse most of her life.

Memorial Gathering: 5 – 7 pm, Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial Service: 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with Pastor Anthony Paulson officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
