John William Minser

John William Minser, 73, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022. He was born October 8, 1948, in Springfield, the son of William and Norma Craig Minser.

Survivors include his partner, Joan Lomprez of Springfield; four children, Billie (Rick) Taylor, Marni (Steven) Lord, Justin (Dani) Minser, and Jason (Jess) Minser, all of Florida; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; mother, Norma Minser of Sherman; two sisters, Janet (Paul) Camp of Springfield and Jeanne Minser of Sherman; brother, Craig Minser of Springfield; uncle, Mel Routman; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Minser; and sister-in-law, Paula Minser.
John was a US Army veteran and worked as a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed motorcycles and golf. He was a member of the American Legion Riders; H.O.G., ABATE, ANSAR Shrine, and was a Patriot Guard Rider.

Visitation: 9:30 – 11:30 am Friday, March 4, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Friday, March 4, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Pastor Mike Harney officiating.

Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
