John Samuel Karinja, Jr.
- July 12, 2021
When John was a boy in New Jersey, he loved to go crabbing along the shore. One day he found a big, old snapping turtle and lugged it all the way home! Back it went into the lake when John’s mom found out. This started a whole life of helping animals, often in partner with his beloved wife, Clarice.
John loved to read. He devoured book after book, especially history. It made for lively conversation because he always knew so much.
But most of all, John loved and adored his wife, Clarice, and daughter Jackie. John will always be in their hearts.
“We will love and remember John until the day we see him again.”
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, care and gifts from Etowah United Methodist Church, family, community, and dear friends.
“You all have been a blessing.”
A memorial service for John Karinja will be at 1pm on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Etowah United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard Buff officiating; a visitation will be held one hour prior.
