John R. Murphy Jr., 87, of Solon, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Solon. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Solon.
