John Michael Scottino
John Michael Scottino, 55, of Lipan, Texas, passed away on December 31, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2 P.M., on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the Lipan High School Basketball Gymnasium at 211 N Kickapoo St in Lipan, Texas.
John was born on October 5, 1966, in Dallas, Texas to John Anthony and Anita Jo Scottino. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On May 26, 1995, John married Karrie Moffit and together had two daughters, Ashlyn and K’Lee. He enjoyed outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, and camping. John served as a volunteer fireman for both the Lipan and Cresson Fire Departments. Most of all, John “never met a stranger” and enjoyed time spent with his family.
John is survived by his wife, Karrie; his daughters, Ashlyn and K’Lee, grandson, Kane; mother, Anita and husband David Rives; sister, Shari and husband Chad Odom; by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles in addition to the “entire town of Lipan, Texas.”
John was preceded in death by his father, John Anthony Scottino.
