John Lee Trader

John Lee Trader, 66, of Springfield died on Thursday, December 17, 2020. He was born on February 4, 1954 in Springfield, IL to Elmer L. and Stella Agnes (Hargis) Trader.

John is survived by one son, Joseph Trader of Louisville, KY one daughter, Kim (Doug) Reynolds of Clinton, IL; five grandchildren, Trevor Reynolds, Zach Trader, Patrick Reynolds, Joseph Trader Jr., and Jacob Reynolds; one brother, Jimmy (Cuca) Trader of Tuscan, AZ, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; only sister, Carolyn Colvin, and one brother, Jerry Trader.

John was a resident of the Springfield are for most of his life and enjoyed working as an auto-mechanic for many years.

John loved cars and his favorite car was a Maverick. He also enjoyed milk, coffee, and fried chicken. John had a huge heart and he loved to help others. He was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off of his back. His family and friends will miss him dearly.

Private Celebration of Life will be held at Staab Funeral Home in Springfield.

CDC Protocol shall be followed.
