John L. Bender
John L. Bender, age 76, of Yorkville, IL passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. He was born on July 1, 1945 in Aurora, IL the son of John and Marjorie (Erwin) Bender.
John was united in marriage on April 29, 2014 to the former Debra Fowler and they spent the next 7 years happily together. He volunteered as a conductor on the Nebraska Zephyr at the I.R.M in Union, IL. John was a true nature lover and enjoyed spending time outdoors especially on his family homestead.
He is survived by his wife, Deb Bender; his step-children; his step-grandchildren; his brother, David Bender; his sisters-in-law, Donna Bender of Virginia and Paula Bender of Plano, IL; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marjorie Bender; and his brothers, Harold and Richard Bender.
Services will be private.
