John Allen Knupp, 57, of Wellington, Florida, passed away on May 22, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love.
John, born in Anamosa, Iowa, on August 28, 1966, graduated from Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School. He completed his education at the University of Iowa, earning degrees in Chemistry and Computer Science. His life’s career became computer programming and information technology. John and his wife, Kristi Woods were married on October 20, 2001 in Nashville, Tennessee.
John enjoyed the water, boating and going to the beach. He was a devoted family man, coaching soccer for his children and creating lasting memories with them. He attended every concert, recital, and marching band event of his children.
John is survived by his beloved wife, Kristi Beth Knupp, and their children, John Allen Knupp Jr. and Elizabeth Macy Knupp. His in-laws Larry and Judy White. He also leaves behind his parents, John “Dick” and Leann Knupp, as well as his siblings: Dorene (Kevin) Hickey, Jason (Debbie) Knupp, and Janice (Steve) Crow, sister-in-law Jennifer Woods, and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his grandparents (Knupp and DeMean), brother-in-law Jeff Holderman, father-in-law Don Woods, and Uncle Harlan DeMean.
John’s warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering love for his family, friends and co-workers will forever be etched in our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at a later date.
