Joan “Joni” B. Gage, 70, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s under hospice. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Joan was born Feb. 27, 1952, to Glenn and Ellen Beltz in Iowa City, Iowa. She was one of 12 siblings with only two surviving sisters, Eddie and Mary (Gary). She enjoyed fishing and going to the casino. She loved her family and cherished the time spent with them.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Shonda) Beltz; four grandsons, Gary (Karen) Patrick, Jeffrey Beltz, Matthew (Ashley) Beltz and Brandon (Amanda) Beltz; 24 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; along with many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank UnityPoint Hospice and the UnityPoint ICU team for doing a wonderful job taking care of Joni. They would also like to than Matt and Ashley for all the care they gave to Grandma Joni.
