Joan Claire Perks

Joan Claire Perks, 85, of Hendersonville passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Elizabeth House. She was a daughter of the late Blanche and Rudy Boettger and was born and raised in Redlands, California. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Donald and sister, Shirley.

Joan dedicated most of her adult life to caring for her family. She worked for Pure Gold in Redlands for several years before she decided she wanted to be a full-time mother and stay home with her daughter. Later in life, she worked for MAF aviation and then Morton Buildings. Joan was always willing to help anyone out and was a wonderful friend to all. She loved to cook and bake, and she had a wonderful voice, which she used to sing in the church choir for years.

Joan is survived by her loving husband, Jack, who she loved very much and cared for; daughter, Tina and her two granddaughters, Heather, and Jami.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
