Jill Anna Lechtenberg, 64, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, located at 3500 29th Avenue in Marion. An additional visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., at the church. The Reverend Jeff Frohner will officiate. Committal Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.

Jill was born on September 16, 1959, in DeWitt, Iowa, the daughter of Willard “Bill” Alvin and Donna Mae (Ruchotzke) Branch. She was a 1978 graduate of Davenport Central High School and went on to earn her associate’s degree from Scott Community College. On April 16, 1988, Jill was united in marriage to Walter “Wally” Lechtenberg at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa. After she was married, she went back to school and earned her bachelor’s degree from Upper Iowa University and later, earned her master’s degree from St. Ambrose University in Davenport. Jill worked for various companies including Teleconnect, Amana Refrigeration, TransAmerica Insurance, HON Industries, and most recently, as Vice President of Enterprise Business Transformation Services with QCR Holdings, the parent company of Cedar Rapids Bank and Trust. She and Wally were members of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved extensive travel. She fought a courageous seven-year battle with cancer and was beginning the process of stem cell replacement. Jill will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jill is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 36 years, Wally Lechtenberg; three sisters, Jennifer Gilchrist of Davenport, Iowa, Susan Klatt of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Mary (Paul) Pett of Green Bay, Wisconsin; as well as a host of extended family members including many special nieces and nephews, in-laws, and numerous cousins. During her lifetime, Jill made and enjoyed many dear friends and co-workers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Donna, and her brother, Michael Branch.
