Jessi Joe Lake, age 43, died Monday, November 11, 2024, in Iowa City, IA. He had a wonderful spirit and was loved by all who met him and had a laugh that was contagious.

Jessi was born April 14, 1981, in Iowa City, the son of Linda (Lake) Brinkshroeder. He attended Fort Madison High School and graduated from Glenwood HS in 2002. He really enjoyed his teachers and the games they used to play in class.
Jessi’s favorite things to watch were wrestling, Star Wars & the Terminator movies. He loved to ride the motorcycle with his mom, listening to music, and tormenting his sister and her friends whenever he could. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially riding his bike, camping, and fishing with his grandfather on his boat in the Des Moines River. He also got a big laugh out of playing hide and seek with his sister, friends and cousins! Or even walking into neighbors’ houses who loved him just as much.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Ruth Lake of Fort Madison, Iowa.
His family includes his mom, Linda & stepfather, Kevin of Niota, IL; his stepfather, Allen (Ally) Vincent of Cedar Falls, IA; his sister Jodi (Andrae) Coleman of Waterloo, IA; and other stepsisters and stepbrothers. He also has several aunts, uncles, and cousins all over the Midwest who loved him dearly.
