Jerry Lynn Tetts

Jerry Lynn Tetts, 77, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather of Granbury, went home to be with his Lord early on Monday, November 28, 2022.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 2 P.M., on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East, in Granbury. Burial will be private. 

Jerry was born on July 12, 1945, in Winsboro, Texas, to Coleman and Mildred Tetts.   He married Carolyn Free on July 15, 1976.  He had two children, Kristine and Jerry, Jr.  He loved music and dancing.  An avid golfer, Jerry enjoyed both playing and watching golf and attending both the Masters and Colonial golf tournaments.  He was also a semi-pro bowler.  Jerry was a person of devout faith who loved his Lord and was a member of Acton United Methodist Church.  Jerry will affectionately be remembered as a person who loved entertaining and who had the ability to “make others happy.”

Jerry is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his children, Kristine and husband Norman Huddleston and Jerry Lynn Tetts, Jr., 3 grandchildren, Paige and husband Trevor Gunter, Sydney and husband Tyler Dobbs, and Alyssa Tetts; and by his 2 great-grandchildren, Rowan and Beren Gunter.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his grandson, Dawson Tetts, and by his brother, Ronald Tetts.
