Jeremy was born Jan. 19, 1979, to Tony and Amy Brown, who both loved him dearly.

Jeremy was proud to say he was a Jefferson High School graduate. Graduating with the Class of 1998, he played many sports, but football was his passion.

After graduating, he went on to Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, with his brother, Nick, and many close friends. It was there that he got his bachelor’s degree and decided to become a teacher. Some of his best memories revolved around football and the glory days at Loras.

Jeremy taught health/PE in numerous places for about 20 years. He loved teaching kids and was usually a favorite teacher for most of his students. He was one to look after those who came into class that reminded him of himself as a kid and reached out to help many – even if it was just to buy a school bag or trapper keeper for a kid who didn’t have one.

Jeremy loved his family dearly, especially his daughter, Arlee, wife, Tracy, and brother, Nick, among many others. He loved his friends dearly, many of which he called “brothers.” Friends and family were his life. Jeremy also had a special place in his heart for the coaches throughout his life; he always commented on their lasting impact on his life, and lessons they taught him.

He had a passion for the Cowboys and Iowa Hawkeyes. He never missed watching a Hawkeye football game. He loved to golf and spend time out and about with his friends and family. He also had a passion for working out and hitting the gym.

Jeremy wanted it known that he never gave up on his courageous battle with cancer and that he was a fighter until the end.

Jeremy is survived by his daughter, Arlee, and his wife, Tracy Brown; brother, Nick Brown; father, Tony Brown; grandma, Nancy Wise; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his mom, Amy Janene Brown; and grandparents, Richard and Artie Wise, Joan Angeline Markwell, Charlie and Joyce Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the family.
