Jeffrey Michael Wilkison
Jeff Wilkison, 50, of Chicago, IL passed away on March 10, 2022. Survived by his wife, Laura (née Guillot) and his two beautiful sons, Daniel and Mathew; his parents, Terry and Sandy Wilkison, and his sister Christine (Harry) O’Rourke and parents-in-law, Leslie and Larry Guillot, and sister- and brother-in-law and their children, Kurt, Ann, Oscar and Parker Wolken.
Born on June 25, 1971 in St. Charles, Missouri, Jeff attended Duchesne High School where he met several classmates who became some of his closest, lifelong friends. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Missouri State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management. Jeff enjoyed a successful career and most recently worked at Reynolds Consumer Products as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
After a whirlwind 6-year courtship, Jeff and Laura married on July 5, 2003 and he was excited and blessed to become Daniel’s and Matthew’s father. Jeff was an avid recreational golfer and spent many weekend afternoons teaching his boys the game at Ridgemoor Country Club. Jeff stayed a loyal Cardinals fan in Cubs country. Jeff met many new friends through St. Mary of the Woods School and parish and felt grateful to have found a home there.
A kind, quiet and generous soul, Jeff will be a confidant that will be dearly missed by friends and family. Always up for an adventure, a road trip, round of golf, a ballgame, or just a beer, he was the ultimate companion – ready for anything and always open for something new and fun. He loved conceiving and planning new experiences and bringing others together. Then he would happily shop, cook, clean up and DJ to make sure everyone was having a good time. He did all of this elegantly and without needing the spotlight, the ultimate servant heart.
Since we are losing Jeff all too soon, we want to capture the memories to create a book for his family. We ask that you write down the beautiful stories you have of friendships, golf trips, vacations, laughter and more for his boys to see for years to come. Visitation will be held at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago, IL 60646 on Tuesday March 15th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Mary of the Woods Parish 7033 N. Moselle Ave. Chicago, IL 60646 Wednesday, March 16th at 10:30 a.m. for a funeral mass.
