Jay Michael Enyart
Cedar Rapids
Jay Michael Enyart, 40, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at First Open Bible Church. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 16, 2024, at First Open Bible Church. In honor of Jay, please wear your favorite, brightest sneakers.
Jay was born July 17, 1984, to Richard and Susan Enyart in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. He worked at ImOn Communications with the maintenance department. Jay enjoyed many hobbies including his fitness, singing and playing guitar and watching his favorite sports teams. His brightly colored sneakers and sense of humor always lit up a room. He very much loved the family he was given and the family he gained through his church. Most of all, he truly loved being a father. Jay will be greatly missed. As a believer, we know Jay never tasted death. He went from life to life. This doesn’t dismiss, the pain of mourning it is gut retching and physical, but we grieve with hope. This separation isn’t forever, and we live looking forward to seeing loved ones again in eternity and we rest with peace trusting in God’s will and His sovereignty.
He is survived by his son, Kaldyn Enyart; parents, Rick and Sue; siblings, Joel (Corrie) Enyart, and Jill (Luke) Elliott; one nephew and four nieces; many cousins, his church community, and his numerous friends.
