Jason Lee Emmett

Jason Lee Emmett, 44, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at his home. He was born June 12, 1977, in Springfield, the son of Joseph “Terry” and Janet (Cliburn) Emmett. He married Alissa Camp on October 10, 2016 and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2018.

He is also preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother, Janet “Jan” Emmett of Springfield; brother, Jeffrey (Cindy) Emmett of Springfield; nephew, Bradley Emmett and two nieces, Kayli and Kelsi Daniele.

Jason enjoyed golfing, baseball, hanging out with friends and playing chess with his nephew. He worked for the State of Illinois Treasurer and Comptroller’s office. Jason was a United States Marine veteran.

Memorial Gathering: 12 – 2 pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield.

Memorial Service: 2 pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield, with Pastor Clint Cook officiating. A private burial will take place at Farmer’s Point Cemetery in Petersburg.
