Jane Evelyn Heyer

Jane Evelyn Heyer, age 92, of Hinckley, IL passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 30, 3022. She was born in Detroit, MI the daughter of Alton and Sorena (Jefson) Williams.
Jane was united in marriage on October 20, 1957 to Edward Heyer and they spent the next 63 years happily together until his passing on May 31, 2021. Mrs. Heyer was a member of the United Church of Sandwich in Sandwich, IL. Jane became a missionary as single woman, later traveling with her husband and children doing mission work in Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone and Liberia. She was always going to school, earning several Master Degrees including one in Agriculture and also becoming a Master Gardener. Mrs. Heyer was a childcare provider and later began teaching English as a second language. Jane and her husband retired to the family farm in Hinckley, IL. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends around the world.
Jane is survived by her children, Dietrich Heyer, Paul Heyer (Ann Eichelberg), Heidi (Gordon) Campbell, and Gretchen Heyer (Rob) Shoss; her grandchildren, Madison, Sorena, Van, and Garvey; and her great-granddaughter, Evelyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elton and Sorena Williams; her husband, Edward Heyer; and her brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Chris Williams.
A memorial service will be held on October 8th at 11am at the United Church of Sandwich, 512 Lions Rd., Sandwich Il. Lunch will follow at the church.
