Jamie Michael Hill
Cedar Rapids
Jamie Michael Hill, 38, left us all too soon on Oct. 31, 2022, because God needed an angel.
Jamie was born at St. Luke’s Hospital on June 21, 1984. Jamie spent his early years in Cedar Rapids schools, where he graduated with many honors in 2003 from Jefferson High School. He worked a wide array of jobs in his early life, where he met many loving friends. During his late teens into early adulthood, Jamie worked side by side with his brother and father in construction. He worked at ColorWeb Printers as a press operator for nine years until their untimely closing, where he met his “band of brothers” and recently Texas Roadhouse as a cook. Jamie was quiet and observant until comfortable, then he was everyone’s friend. With his humorous personality, timely jokes and impressions, and overall calming presence, Jamie will be missed. Jamie was a fan of sports, Iowa Hawkeyes, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Blackhawks, a Star Wars and Ghostbusters aficionado. Due to his sudden death, he will be greatly missed by all.
Jamie is survived by his parents, Michael and Jodi Hill; brother, Joshua Hill (Kaitlyn); sisters, Michelle and Kristi Hill; his loving nieces and nephews, Sophie, Cash, Payton, Brady, Macy and Evoleht; and grandparents, Don Daughtery, Marion Schloss and Mary Hill. Jamie had an extensive family with many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He leaves a void in the world that can never be replaced.
Jamie was preceded in death by his Papa, Donald Raymond Schloss; Mildred Daughtery; and Kenneth Charles Hill.
Services will be held starting at noon Nov. 12, with an official
eulogy
, at Coe College at the Gage Memorial Building in the CJ Lynch room, 1220 First Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
