James William Baker
Aurora, Colorado
James William Baker, 60 of Denver, CO formerly of Cedar Rapids. With heavy hearts and profound sadness we share the devastating news of the unexpected passing of Jim, our father, brother, son and uncle, on January 26, 2024. Memorial Service: 12 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Kurt Veenstra. Friends may visit the family after 11 a.m. on Saturday.
Jim had an infectious humor and zest for life. He had a unique ability to bring laughter and joy to any room. His genuine laughter was contagious and his quick wit always had us in stiches. Beyond his humor, he had a heart full of love and took immense pride in watching those he care about succeed.
He was not only a devoted father, but also a cherished friend, mentor and role model to many. He lived his life authentically and fearlessly breaking barriers and inspiring others to embrace their true selves.
Jim is survived by his wife Angel; son Josiah Baker; daughter Kylee (Zach) and beautiful grandson Lennon Veenstra; mother Patricia L. Lee; brothers George (Kate) Hinton, Steve (Connie) Lee, Jeffery Hinton and Chris Baker; sister Lori (Kevin) Bestick; twin sister Annette (Tom) Bracha and numerous nieces and nephews among other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather Roland D Lee.
Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests that friends and loved ones consider making donations to honor Jim’s memory. Donations can be submitted online at www.teahenfuneralhome.com/make-a-payment. Your generosity and support during this difficult time are deeply appreciated. Thank you from the family.
