James W. “Jim” Henry

James W. “Jim” Henry, 67, of Springfield, died at 7:15 am, Monday, September 12, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born March 16, 1955 in Springfield, to James R. and Valia E. Eandi Henry. He married Dana M. Neeley on November 5, 1994 and she survives.

Also surviving are one step-daughter, Devan (Tiffany) Kelley of Greenview; two grandchildren, Emmalyn and Raelyn; one sister, Donna (Jeff) Todd of Bay Port, MN; mother-in-law, Patricia McIver of Illiopolis; one sister-in-law, Dawn (Scott) Haynes of Petersburg; three brother-in-laws, Greg Neeley, Scott Neeley and Derek Neeley all of Illiopolis; two nieces, Courtney McCandless and Kendra (Joe) Conser; five great nieces and great nephews, Emma, Luke, and Cole Conser and Harper and Lincoln McCandless and three cousins, Bob, Gina, and Fred Eandi.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim was a lifelong resident of Springfield and graduate of Lanphier High School. He retired from Springfield Metro Sanitary District after 32 years of service, he previously had worked at Fiat Allis.

He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, fishing, golfing, and watching the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks.

Graveside Service: 1 pm, Monday, September 19, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Tom Krieger officiating.
