James Perry Ward

James Perry Ward, 68 of Zirconia, N.C. went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 17, 2021. James was a lifelong native of Zirconia, N.C. born to the late Judd Allen Ward and Geneva Ward Bollinger. James was a 1970 graduate of East Henderson High School and continued his education by receiving numerous certifications throughout his career. In his younger years he was a bass singer at Cedar Springs Baptist Church. He was a master welder at Fluor Daniels construction, at Seneca foods he became an industrial mechanic and later retired from Arvin Meritor.
James had many hobbies and passions including being an avid Ford and Harley Davidson enthusiast, restoring machines of all types and hunting. James was married to Janice Green Ward for 24 years.
James is survived by 2 daughters, Lindsey Rogers (Jacoby) and Christina Kyle (Michael) who he loved immensely, three grandchildren, Allison Rogers, Jason Rogers, and Grayden Kyle which were the light of his life, 2 sisters Elizabeth Corn and Judy Baker (Terry) and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed enough to know him.
A memorial service will be held at two o’clock on Friday, September 24, 2021, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Seth Nichols and Homer Maybin officiating.
